Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Hillshire brand smoked sausage
  • 2 c. uncooked rice
  • 4 c. broth
  • 1 fryer, boiled and deboned
  • 1 bunch chopped green onions
  • 1 chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 tsp. minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Cut sausage into small slices and microwave for 3 minutes. Put oil in a Dutch oven.
  • Add pepper and onion; cook until tender. Add broth and rice.
  • Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Add cut up chicken and sausage and all other spices.
  • Stir.
  • Add more broth to keep from sticking.
  • Taste.
  • Add more spices, if needed.
  • Cover and cook until rice is done.
