- 1 lb. Hillshire brand smoked sausage
- 2 c. uncooked rice
- 4 c. broth
- 1 fryer, boiled and deboned
- 1 bunch chopped green onions
- 1 chopped green bell pepper
- 1 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Cut sausage into small slices and microwave for 3 minutes. Put oil in a Dutch oven.
- Add pepper and onion; cook until tender. Add broth and rice.
- Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
- Add cut up chicken and sausage and all other spices.
- Stir.
- Add more broth to keep from sticking.
- Taste.
- Add more spices, if needed.
- Cover and cook until rice is done.
