Ingredients

  • 1 c. raw rice
  • 1 can water
  • 1 can cream of onion soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • cut up fryer
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Basting a turkey all night is "for the birds!"
  • Rub thawed turkey with melted butter.
  • Stuff it with onion, celery and potato; salt and pepper bird.
  • Place in covered container.
  • Add 5 to 6 cups hot water.
  • Cover pan with foil, then put lid on.
  • Preheat oven to 500°.
  • Place pan in oven and bake at 500° for 1 hour, then turn oven off and leave overnight (don't open oven door!).
