Ingredients
- 1 large fryer
- 1/2 c. milk (approximately)
- 1 1/2 tsp. seasoning salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 2 c. plain flour
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 chopped onion
Method
- Place cut-up fryer in enough water to cover it all.
- Add salt, pepper and onion.
- Boil until tender, but not falling apart. Remove chicken from broth, but save broth.
- Skim off excess fat.
