Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground round
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 1 small can pinto beans
  • 1 large can refried beans
  • 1 block Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 block Monterey Jack, grated
  • 1 jar taco sauce
  • 1 medium jar picante sauce

Method

  • Brown ground round and onion.
  • Mix in taco seasoning.
  • Stir in picante sauce.
  • Stir in pinto beans.
  • Add refried beans and stir well.
  • Cook until thickened and cool slightly.
  • Place approximately 1/2 to 2/3 cup of mixture on each burrito wrapper. Sprinkle with some grated Cheddar and Monterey Jack.
  • Roll and place in a 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  • Cover with taco sauce and sprinkle with remaining cheeses.
  • Bake at 350° for approximately 15 minutes.
  • Makes 10 to 12 large burritos.
