Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. hamburg or sausage
  • 1/3 c. onion
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. oregano
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. grated cheese
  • 2 regular 9-inch pie shells (unbaked)

Method

  • Brown meat and onion; drain well.
  • In bowl, beat together milk, mayonnaise and seasonings.
  • Stir in beaten eggs.
  • Add 1 cup grated cheese and beef and onion mixture to bowl.
  • Pour into pie crusts.
  • Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with remaining cheese just before removing from oven.
  • Done when knife inserted comes out clean.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serves 6.
