Ingredients
- 1 deep pie crust shell
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/3 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 8 slices cheese, cut into small pieces
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 (3 oz.) can French fried onions
- 1/4 c. tomato sauce
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Bake pastry shell for 8 minutes.
- In large skillet, combine meat, green pepper, onion and salt; cook and stir over medium heat until meat browns.
- Pour off fat.
- Add cheese, stir until melted.
- Remove from heat, stir in eggs and tomato sauce.
- Turn into pastry shell.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven, arrange onions and, if desired, additional cheese slices on top.
- Bake 2 minutes longer.
- Refrigerate leftovers.
