Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 5 c. self-rising flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 2 c. buttermilk
Method
- Mix
- yeast with 2 tablespoons warm water.
- Add sugar to flour and cut in shortening. Stir in buttermilk. Add yeast and blend. Store in refrigerator until ready to use.
- (Does better if chilled at least 30 minutes.)
