Ingredients
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (about 4 oz.)
Method
- In saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
- Blend flour, salt and pepper.
- Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in milk.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Stir in mustard and cheese; heat over low heat until cheese is melted.
