Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. margarine (2 sticks)
  • 1 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 box light brown sugar
  • 1 c. Eagle Brand milk

Method

  • Melt margarine, then add brown sugar until blended.
  • Add milk and Karo syrup.
  • Stir constantly until it reaches soft ball stage. It will change color and start to pull away from side of pan. (You can use candy thermometer.)
  • Remove from heat and add vanilla.
  • Pour into greased pan and refrigerate.
  • Turn out onto cutting board.
  • Cut into pieces and wrap in wax paper.
