Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 6 qt. popped popcorn

Method

  • Bring margarine, sugar, salt and corn syrup to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Boil without stirring for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat; add baking soda and vanilla.
  • Pour over popcorn and mix well.
  • Place coated popcorn in 2 large buttered cake pans.
  • Bake at 250°, stirring every 15 minutes, for about an hour.
