Ingredients
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 lb. pkg. light brown sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. self-rising flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Cream butter, shortening and brown sugar.
- Gradually add white sugar and continue creaming.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
- Add flour and milk to cream mixture.
- Add vanilla and nuts.
- Blend well.
- Pour batter into a tube pan sprayed with Pam. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
- Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan.
