Ingredients
- 3 bags microwave popcorn
- 1 cube butter
- 1 cube margarine
- 2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Cook popcorn; set aside in very large foil roaster pan.
- Bring ingredients to a gentle boil in a large saucepan.
- Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon baking soda.
- Keep stirring until foamy. Pour syrup over popcorn, coating evenly.
- Bake at 200° for 1 hour, tossing every 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven.
- Spread out on wax paper and separate as it cools.
- Store in airtight containers. Makes lots!
- Good for gifts at Christmas.
