Ingredients
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
- 4 pinches salt
- 2 sticks oleo
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 pinch cream of tartar
- 8 qt. popcorn
Method
- Boil for 5 minutes the brown sugar, syrup, salt and oleo. Remove from heat.
- Add soda and cream of tartar.
- Pour over popcorn.
- Stir for four minutes on cookie sheet or in shallow pan. Bake 1 hour at 250°.
- Stir 2 or 3 times while baking.
- Put in container and seal.
- Keeps very good.
- (So nice and crisp.)
