Ingredients
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk (separated)
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 1 pkg. (about 50) caramels
- 1 c. chocolate chips
Method
- Mix together cake mix, margarine and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Pat half of mixture in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Bake at 350° for 6 minutes.
- Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on baked mixture, then pour caramels over this. Put remaining cake mix on top.
- Bake 20 minutes longer.
