Ingredients

  • 1 (3 lb) trout or 1 (3 lb) whitefish
  • 2 tablespoons onions, chopped
  • 34 cup catsup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 14 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons red hot sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon ground pepper

Method

  • Place fish in a greased shallow baking dish.
  • Brown onion lightly in fat.
  • Add catsup, brown sugar, cider vinegar, lemon juice, red hot sauce, worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer for 5 minute.
  • Pour over fish.
  • Bake at 425* for 30 min or until fish is tender.
  • Serve on warm platter, garnish with parsley and lemon slices.
