Ingredients
- 90 grams Spaghetti (choose the thin variety)
- 1/4 can Canned whole tomatoes
- 1/4 Onion
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1 Grated cheese
- 1 Basil (if available)
Method
- Mince the onion and garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and cook the garlic on low heat.
- When the garlic is fragrant and slightly brown, add the onions and cook on medium heat until wilted.
- Add the whole tomatoes.
- Crush the tomatoes with a spatula.
- When the mixture starts to boil, add basil.
- Lightly season with salt and pepper and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
- Add the al dente spaghetti.
- If needed, mix in a little pasta water and add salt and pepper to taste.
