Ingredients
- 8 large potatoes
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
- 3/4 (5 oz.) can milk
Method
- Cut up potatoes and put into a good size pot.
- Pour in the 2 1/2 cups sugar and 1/2 stick of butter.
- Place over medium heat and stir until thickened.
- When thickened, add the canned milk and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring; stir in.
- Let simmer over low heat, continuing to stir, until ready to serve.
