Ingredients
- 1 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1 cup Wheat Flour
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 teaspoons Vegetable Oil
- 3/4 cups Warm Milk
Method
- Begin by mixing the flours, baking powder, salt, and vegetable oil together using a mixer. Slowly add the warm milk until the dough reaches a sticky consitency (you may have to add more warm milk or a splash of water if needed, but do this slowly and sparingly!).
- Remove the dough from the bowl and knead the dough on a floured surface for 2-3 minutes. Shape into a ball and place it in a bowl, cover, and allow it to rise for 20 minutes.
- Break the dough into 8 equal pieces and shape each into a ball by rolling it between your hands. Place the dough balls back in the bowl, cover, and allow to rise for 10 minutes.
- Take one ball of dough, place on floured surface, flatten with your hands, and then roll out into a thin sheet, approximately 8 inches in diameter. Place paper towels between each of the tortillas once they have been rolled.
- Cook in a dry frying pan over high heat for about 1 minute on each side or until bubbles begin to form in the dough. Serve warm with butter and honey!
