Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 1 1/4 lb. ground pork
- 2 large heads cabbage
- paprika
- salt
- pepper
- 2 cloves garlic or 1 tsp. granulated
- 4 oz. rice
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 large onion
- 1 lb. sauerkraut
- 8 oz. water
Method
- Partially cook rice (half done).
- Pour off excess water. Cool.
- Cut out core of cabbage.
- Steam cabbage in Dutch oven to soften leaves.
- Remove leaves gently; drain.
- Combine cooked rice, ground beef, pork, minced onion and garlic; salt and pepper to taste.
