Ingredients

  • 1 large cabbage, shredded
  • 6 Tbsp. oleo
  • 8 ozs. cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 1/4 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Cook cabbage in boiling salted water until tender, drain. Saute onions in 5 Tbsp. oleo until tender.
  • Add soup and mix well. Add cheese, stir until melted.
  • Remove from heat and stir in drained cabbage, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Place in ungreased 2 qt. baking dish.
  • In skillet, melt 1 Tbsp. oleo, stir in crumbs until lightly browned.
  • Sprinkle over casserole.
  • Bake uncovered 350° for 20-30 minutes.
