Ingredients
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 c. cream or evaporated milk
- 1 qt. milk
- 3/4 c. flour
- 6 egg yolks
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 (9-inch) pie shells, baked
Method
- Cook the brown sugar, butter and evaporated milk until thick and brown.
- Mix the quart of milk, flour and egg yolks and add to the sugar mixture.
- Cook until thickened.
- Add vanilla.
- Cool and pour into baked pie shells.
