Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons ground coriander
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons chilli sauce
  • ⅓ cup oil, extra
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Method

1. Heat oil in a small pan, add onion, garlic and ginger, stir over low heat until onion is soft.

2. Add coriander, cumin, mustard, turmeric and cinnamon, stir over low heat 2 minutes. Add chilli sauce, extra oil, vinegar and lemon juice, stir over medium heat for 3 minutes or until mixture thickens. Cool. Spoon into a sterilised jar, seal.
