Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. walnuts
  • 1 c. light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light cream
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 24 marshmallows

Method

  • Chop walnuts fine.
  • Firmly pack brown sugar before measuring. Mix together sugar, cream, vanilla and salt.
  • Place over heat and slowly bring mixture to a boil, gently, until candy thermometer registers 238° or until a little candy dropped in cold water forms a soft ball.
  • Drop in marshmallows, a few at a time, and turn with a fork until well coated.
  • Remove and roll in chopped nuts.
