Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. soda
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1 c. cream or half and half
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
Method
- Add soda, sugar and salt to buttermilk.
- Sift baking powder and flour into this.
- Add yeast.
- Stir in oil, cream and beaten eggs.
- Mix well.
- Store in refrigerator overnight.
- Remove from refrigerator and allow batter to stand at room temperature to activate the yeast.
- Bake on a hot griddle.
- Store in a 3 pound coffee can.
- It will keep 10 days or longer.
- Use from it as you wish.
