Ingredients
- 11 egg yolks
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 c. flour, sifted
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
Method
- Beat egg yolks and sugar until fluffy; add scalded milk and vanilla, beating constantly.
- Add flour and baking powder. Fold in melted butter or margarine.
- Batter will be very thin. Pour into 3 (9-inch) well-greased
- layer
- pans.
- Bake
- at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Ice cake with your favorite frosting.
