Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water (105~ to 115~)
  • 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 1/2 c. flour

Method

  • Dissolve yeast in water.
  • Dissolve butter, sugar and salt in 3/4 cup of hot water.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Beat egg and add to lukewarm butter mixture.
  • Add yeast water.
  • Add flour and mix well. Let stand in refrigerator overnight.
  • Take out; knead a little. Roll out; cut and let rise at room temperature for about 2 1/2 hours.
  • Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes.
