Ingredients
- 5 c. flour
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. oil or melted shortening
- 2 c. milk or water
- 5 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
- Combine other dry ingredients.
- When yeast is dissolved, add all liquids to flour mixture.
- Work into a smooth dough, kneading for 5 minutes. Biscuits may be formed and baked immediately or stored in a covered bowl (in refrigerator) and baked as needed.
- This dough may be used for pizza crust.
- Turn over crust wrapped around wieners and baked or for any variety of cobbler.
