Ingredients
- 1/3 c. molasses
- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 4 Tbsp. shortening
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Heat molasses to the boiling point.
- Remove from flame.
- Add shortening and stir until shortening is melted.
- When cold, add sifted dry ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Chill.
- Roll very thin.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in a moderately hot oven at 375° for 4 to 5 minutes.
