Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pkg. frozen peas and carrots
  • flour and water thickening

Method

  • Brown beef in skillet in a little oil.
  • Add chopped onion; cook until onion is limp, stirring constantly.
  • Add tomato sauce, then add water.
  • Stir in seasoning.
  • Add peas and carrots while still frozen.
  • Thicken with flour and water mixed to a liquid paste.
  • Continue cooking until slightly thickened, about 3 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Serve with rice or potatoes.
