- 3 lb. fresh pork
- 1 chicken (3 lb. fryer)
- 1 large onion
- 3 Tbsp. chicken fat
- 5 c. chicken broth (reserve)
- 1 small bottle ketchup
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1 can creamed corn
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 pkg. frozen butter beans
- potatoes
- salt and pepper
Method
- Cook pork and chicken in enough water to simmer.
- Simmer covered until simmered.
- Skin meat from bones.
- Strain broth and skim off fat.
- Save for use.
- Heat chicken fat or margarine in large heavy skillet.
- Add onion and cook gently until tender.
