Ingredients

  • Brownies:
  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 2/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • Frosting:
  • 8 Tbsp. powdered unsweetened chocolate
  • 4 Tbsp. milk
  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Melt the chocolate squares in vegetable oil. Mix granulated sugar and 4 eggs and add to oil and melted chocolate mixture-beat well. Stir in flour and baking powder and mix well. Put batter in greased and floured 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-20 minutes.
  • Mix together frosting ingredients and spread on cooled brownies.
  • Serves 12 and great with a dollop of Dreyer's vanilla ice cream.
