Ingredients

  • 6 c. fine or coarse bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. sage
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 2/3 c. melted margarine
  • 1/2 c. onion

Method

  • Prepare coarse or fine bread crumbs.
  • Empty crumbs into a large bowl with celery seed, salt, pepper, sage and thyme.
  • In pot melt margarine with onion and bring to a boil for 1 minute. Stir constantly.
  • Pour margarine and onion onto bread mixture. Boil water. Then mix water into bread mixture until mixture consistency looks moist.
  • Pour or place mixture into 9-inch square pan and bake at 375° for 20 minutes.
