Ingredients

  • 1 lb. round steak, diced
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 c. celery, diced
  • 2 c. onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. beaded molasses
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cooked rice
  • Chinese noodles

Method

  • Brown steak in shortening.
  • Add celery, onion, soy sauce, molasses and water.
  • Cook 45 minutes.
  • Stir in soup, flour, salt and pepper.
  • Simmer 10 minutes.
  • Serve on rice; top with noodles. Yields 10 servings.
