- 1 lb. round steak, diced
- 2 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 c. celery, diced
- 2 c. onion, diced
- 1 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. beaded molasses
- 2 c. water
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- cooked rice
- Chinese noodles
Method
- Brown steak in shortening.
- Add celery, onion, soy sauce, molasses and water.
- Cook 45 minutes.
- Stir in soup, flour, salt and pepper.
- Simmer 10 minutes.
- Serve on rice; top with noodles. Yields 10 servings.
