Ingredients

  • 6 lb Beef short ribs Oil Salt, pepper Flour
  • 1 lrg Onion, minced
  • 1 lrg Carrot, sliced
  • 2 x Celery stalks, minced
  • 8 ounce Tomato sauce

Method

  • Brown ribs in small amount of oil in Dutch oven.
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper and small amount of flour and continue to cook till browned on all sides.
  • Add in onion, carrot, celery and tomato sauce.
  • Pour boiling water over ribs to cover.
  • Cover and cook till tender, 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.
