Ingredients
- 3 medium onions, coarsely chopped
- 3 large cans crushed tomatoes
- 6 cloves garlic (run through garlic press)
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. ground allspice
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 to 2 Tbsp. black pepper (depends on how spicy you like it)
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- Italian parsley (optional) (not the dried or garnishing parsley)
Method
- Stir together in 6-quart covered heavy aluminum pan.
- Place in 250° oven for 6 hours stirring once after 1 hour.
- Leave in pan for another 3 hours.
- You could assemble the ingredients 1 hour before bedtime and set the oven to turn off six hours later.
- Don't forget to stir after 1 hour, then leave it.
