Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 quart blueberries
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour

Method

  • Combine one cup of the sugar, lemon juice and blueberries in large mixing bowl. Allow to set for several hours or overnight in refrigerator. Pour mixture into a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Placa butter, flour and remaining cup of sugar in mixing bowl; cut with pastry blender until crumbly throughout. Spoon over blueberry mixture and bake at 350 degrees for one to one and one-half hours or until crust is lightly browned and bubbly throughout.
