Ingredients
- 6 eggs, separated
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2/3 c. flour or 1/3 c. flour and 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Beat egg whites and set aside.
- Combine egg yolks, sugar and vanilla.
- Beat until creamy.
- Mix flour and baking powder or flour and cocoa and baking powder.
- Put egg whites over egg yolks mixture.
- Sift flour mixture over egg whites.
- Fold under gently; don't stir.
- Put mixture on cookie sheet, lined with wax paper.
- Smooth even.
- Bake on top shelf in oven at 350° until golden brown, about 7 minutes.
