Ingredients

  • biscuits
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. melted butter
  • Gravy
  • 1/2 lb. sausage meat
  • 3 Tbsp. white flour
  • 1 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly ground pepper

Method

  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Combine milk and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until blended. Drop by tbsp. onto greased baking sheet or muffin tins Bake @ 450 deg. 10-12 mins. or until brown.
  • 2) Meanwhile, in a saucepan, cook sausage on med. heat until no longer pink. Sprinkle in flour, stirring, until workable. cook for 1 min. stir in salt and pepper. serve over hot biscuits.
