Ingredients

  • 22 medium-sized green tomatoes
  • 6 green peppers
  • 1 pt. small onions, cut up
  • 6 sweet red peppers
  • 1 1/2 qt. vinegar
  • 3 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 4 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed

Method

  • Quarter tomatoes and green and red peppers.
  • Put through food chopper, using medium blade; drain.
  • Place vegetables in large kettle.
  • Add vinegar; boil 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Drain and discard juice.
