Ingredients

  • 3 cups berries (raspberries, blackberries, or blueberries)
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice (for blueberries only)
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup self-rising flour
  • 2/3 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup softened margarine
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon

Method

  • Spread berries in square glass dish, 8x8x2-inch.
  • Sprinkle with juice.
  • Mix remaining ingredients and sprinkle over berries. Microwave uncovered on high 7-10 minutes or until berries are hot and bubbly.
  • Let stand 10 minutes.
  • Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
  • May be baked in conventional oven 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
  • I have also made this with no margarine, and it is good for those on a low-fat diet.
