Ingredients

  • 2 lb. chuck roast or stir-fry meat
  • 1 c. mushrooms
  • 1 c. celery
  • 1 c. carrots
  • 1 c. onion
  • any other vegetables you desire
  • garlic (for seasoning)
  • 2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. water

Method

  • Cut meat in 1/4-inch slices.
  • Put meat, onion and garlic in a large frying pan and brown.
  • Add vegetables and water.
  • Simmer for 30 minutes.
  • More water may be needed.
  • Mix 2 tablespoons flour and 2 tablespoons water to make gravy.
  • Add to meat and vegetables.
  • Serve over rice or noodles.
  • This is a great way to use leftover vegetables.
