Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
- 1 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. softened butter
- 1 c. pecans, broken into pieces
- 1/2 c. pecan halves for garnish
- 9-inch unbaked pie shell
Method
- Keep pie shell refrigerated until ready for use.
- Beat eggs in a medium sized bowl.
- Add brown sugar, corn syrup, salt and vanilla.
- Blend well.
- Stir in butter and broken pecans.
- Pour into pie shell.
- If you like, make a design when placing the pecan halves on top.
- Bake for 45 to 50 minutes in a preheated 375° oven.
- Yields 8 servings.
