Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 c. softened butter
  • 1 c. pecans, broken into pieces
  • 1/2 c. pecan halves for garnish
  • 9-inch unbaked pie shell

Method

  • Keep pie shell refrigerated until ready for use.
  • Beat eggs in a medium sized bowl.
  • Add brown sugar, corn syrup, salt and vanilla.
  • Blend well.
  • Stir in butter and broken pecans.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • If you like, make a design when placing the pecan halves on top.
  • Bake for 45 to 50 minutes in a preheated 375° oven.
  • Yields 8 servings.
