Ingredients
- 1 lb. sirloin or round steak
- garlic powder
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 c. minced onions
- 1 can consomme
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 can mushrooms, drained
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. chopped chives
Method
- Rub garlic into meat and cut into 1/4-inch thick strips.
- Mix next 4 ingredients and coat meat.
- Brown well in small amount of oil.
- Add onions and cook until translucent.
- Add rest of flour mixture, consomme, water and mushrooms.
- Cover and cook slow about 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Remove cover and cook until thickened.
- Add sour cream and chives.
- Serve over rice, mashed potatoes or noodles.
