Ingredients

  • 1 lb. beef stew
  • 1 onion
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 3 carrots, diced
  • oil
  • 1/2 can Hunt's tomato sauce
  • 2 or 3 potatoes, diced
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley (optional)
  • pinch of garlic powder

Method

  • Saute onion in oil, put in diced beef pieces and garlic. Brown until onion and beef are tender.
  • Add tomato sauce and about 1 1/2 cups of water, also the parsley, salt and pepper.
  • Cook about 1/2 hour over a low heat.
  • Add chopped celery and carrots and diced potatoes.
  • Simmer for about another hour or until vegetables are tender.
