- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shell macaroni
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 can tomato puree
- 1 puree can water
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 lb. American cheese, cubed
- 1/2 c. bread crumbs
Method
- Cook macaroni in boiling water according to package directions.
- Brown beef; add onion and pepper.
- Simmer a few minutes.
- Add tomato puree, water, mushroom soup, cooked macaroni, salt and cheese to casserole dish.
- Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.
- Yields 8 to 10 servings.
