Ingredients
- 1 lb. round steak
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 1 c. thin sliced carrots
- 1/4 lb. mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 c. Burgundy wine
- cooked rice or noodles
Method
- Slice meat into thin strips; brown in oil.
- Remove from pan. Saute onions and carrots until carrots are tender-crisp.
- Add mushrooms and cook 2 minutes.
- Stir in flour, salt, pepper and thyme.
- Gradually add broth and wine; return meat to pan.
- Cover and simmer 20 minutes or until meat is tender.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
