- 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1/4 c. diced green peppers
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 c. grated cheese
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 10 count buttermilk biscuits
Method
- Brown meat, onions and peppers; drain.
- Add tomato sauce, garlic and chili powder; let simmer.
- Separate biscuits into 20 pieces (pull apart).
- Line an 8 or 9-inch greased baking dish with half of the biscuits.
- Remove mixture from heat.
- Add egg, sour cream and 1/2 cup cheese.
- Spoon over biscuits.
- Top with remaining biscuits and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
