Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1/4 c. diced green peppers
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 3/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 1/2 c. grated cheese
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 10 count buttermilk biscuits

Method

  • Brown meat, onions and peppers; drain.
  • Add tomato sauce, garlic and chili powder; let simmer.
  • Separate biscuits into 20 pieces (pull apart).
  • Line an 8 or 9-inch greased baking dish with half of the biscuits.
  • Remove mixture from heat.
  • Add egg, sour cream and 1/2 cup cheese.
  • Spoon over biscuits.
  • Top with remaining biscuits and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
