Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour, all-purpose
- 1 cup milk
- 1 x salt to taste
- 1 x black pepper to taste
Method
- Blend milk and flour.
- Add butter [melted].
- Mix together.
- Heat on medium in microwave about one minute.
- Stir.
- Repeat until reaches desired thickness.
- Variations:
- Cheese - add 1/2 cup cheese and either 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard or 1/4 teaspoon spice sauce such as teriyaki or Worcestershire, etc.
- Red - add 3 tbsp ketchup.
- Curry - 1/2 teaspoon curry powder.
- Cucumber - add 1/2 cup grated or diced cucumber and pinch of cayenne.
- Sea Food - add 1/2 cup cooked cocktail shrimp or chopped other sea food.
