Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. barley
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 1 c. sliced mushrooms, drained (keep liquid)
- 1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts and/or bamboo shoots
Method
- Heat margarine in saucepan.
- Add barley, onion and mushrooms until golden.
- Add almonds, dry soup and chicken broth.
- Add water chestnuts and mushroom liquid.
- Stir well and place into baking dish.
- Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
