Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb. ribs, cut into pieces
- 1 lemon
- 1 large onion
- 1 c. catsup
- 1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 dashes of Tabasco sauce
- 2 c. water
Method
- Place ribs in shallow roasting pan, meaty side up.
- On each piece, place a slice of unpeeled lemon, a thin slice of onion. Roast in hot oven (450°) for 30 minutes.
- Combine remaining ingredients; bring to boiling and pour over ribs.
- Continue baking in moderate oven (350° ) until tender, about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Baste ribs with the sauce every 15 minutes.
- If sauce gets too thick, add more water.
- Serves 4.
