Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lb. ribs, cut into pieces
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 dashes of Tabasco sauce
  • 2 c. water

Method

  • Place ribs in shallow roasting pan, meaty side up.
  • On each piece, place a slice of unpeeled lemon, a thin slice of onion. Roast in hot oven (450°) for 30 minutes.
  • Combine remaining ingredients; bring to boiling and pour over ribs.
  • Continue baking in moderate oven (350° ) until tender, about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Baste ribs with the sauce every 15 minutes.
  • If sauce gets too thick, add more water.
  • Serves 4.
